A few miles from the Lincoln Place Apartments, residents of the Venice Canal district have a Holiday boat parade and house parties every year on a Sunday night just before Christmas. Outsiders are not invited and they don't like publicity about their events, so stay away, unless you can afford a $3 million dollar home here.

Though a peaceful farming people, the Old Prussians were pagans, which attracted the attention of the German Teutonic Order. Prussia was slowly and painfully overrun and subdued. The Germans replanted their own population on much of Prussian soil. They were known to proclaim, "We're the Prussians now!"
