Lindsay Lohan is moving to Venice after three months in the desert.
Three months without drinking is a very long time. I've been searching to see what's her favorite alcoholic beverage so I can keep ingredients in stock just in case she stops by (she's welcome over anytime.) I see she likes Kombucha (yuck) and amaretto sours (double yuck). My research says she enjoys sweet liquor drinks, so I've invented this drink called 'The Lindsay' in honor of her move to Venice.
'The Lindsay'
1 1/2 oz. Stolichnaya vodka (available at Munis Liquor Jr. Market, corner Venice Blvd./Pacific)
1/2 oz. fresh-squeezed orange juice (preferably stolen off your neighbor's tree)
1/4 oz. Sonoma Syrup Co. Grenadine (available at the Lincoln/Rose Whole Foods)
Mix quickly with a few cubes of ice in a shaker, pour everything including ice into a small glass. I recommend repeating this drink three times to help forget about that Betty Ford lady.
The Malibu fire was going strong on Sunday afternoon. The smoke could be seen from the graffiti pit. There were white smoke clouds with great puffs of black smoke. Sometimes it almost looked like the fog was rolling in from the mountains to the bay.

Recent big waves reached the top of the Venice Pier, knocking the bathrooms and the foghorn off into the ocean. Tourists gather at the end of the closed pier to watch the waves, while the replica tall ship 'Lady Washington' sails nearby in the bay.
